Ensuring Professional Development Compliance
Meeting Australian Professional Development Standards
National CPD Alignment
All NeuroKind content contributes to at least 1 hour of accredited professional learning and aligns with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. It meets CPD compliance criteria in all Australian states and territories, including QCT (QLD), NESA (NSW), VIT (VIC), TRBWA (WA), TRBSA (SA), TQI (ACT), TRB TAS, and TRBNT. Teachers can log this module as Elective or Teacher-Identified PD and use the Certificate of Completion as evidence for registration renewal and audit purposes.
Queensland (QCT – Queensland College of Teachers)
NeuroKind’s modules are QCT-CPD compliant and directly mapped to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. Each module provides 1 hour of accredited learning that can be counted toward the recommended 20 hours per year (or 40–60 hours per 5-year cycle). Modules align with key QCT standards, including differentiation (1.5), disability inclusion (1.6), student participation (4.1), regulation-first behaviour support (4.3), professional learning (6.2), and engagement with broader professional networks (7.4). Certificates of completion can be logged as formal CPD.
New South Wales (NESA – NSW Education Standards Authority)
NeuroKind modules meet NESA’s Elective PD requirements and can be logged via eTAMS. Each 60-minute module aligns with NESA’s emphasis on trauma-informed and inclusive practice, mapped to standards 1.5, 1.6, 4.1, 4.3, and 6.2. While not yet NESA-accredited, all modules qualify as high-quality, evidence-based professional learning suitable for inclusion in the 50 hours of Elective PD teachers must complete every 5 years.
Victoria (VIT – Victorian Institute of Teaching)
VIT requires annual logging of CPD that supports teachers’ professional knowledge and practice. NeuroKind modules are aligned with AITSL standards and meet VIT’s expectations for reflective, inclusive, and research-informed learning. Each module supports differentiation (1.5), inclusion (1.6), safe learning environments (4.1), ongoing improvement (6.2), and professional collaboration (7.4). These can be logged individually and used to support annual renewal declarations.
Western Australia (TRBWA – Teacher Registration Board of WA)
WA teachers must complete 100 hours of CPD every 5 years. NeuroKind modules meet TRBWA’s requirement for professional learning that enhances knowledge, practice, and engagement with inclusive education. All modules support diverse learner needs (1.5), equitable participation (4.1), evidence-based practice (6.2), and professional engagement (7.4), and can be included in individual learning plans and submitted as CPD evidence at renewal.
South Australia (TRBSA – Teachers Registration Board of SA)
Though TRBSA does not prescribe a set number of hours, it requires high-quality CPD focused on inclusion, safety, and continuous improvement. NeuroKind modules meet these expectations by supporting the development of trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and inclusive teaching practices. Each module aligns with standards 1.5, 1.6, 4.1, 6.2, and 7.4 and can be documented in personal learning plans or submitted during renewal reviews.
Australian Capital Territory (TQI – Teacher Quality Institute)
ACT teachers must complete 20 hours of CPD annually, including at least 5 hours of TQI-accredited learning. NeuroKind modules can currently be logged as Teacher-Identified Professional Learning and meet the required AITSL standards (1.5, 4.1, 4.3, 6.2). The modules are eligible for inclusion in TQI portfolios and can support educators working towards accreditation or performance improvement goals in inclusive practice.
Northern Territory (TRBNT – Teacher Registration Board of NT)
NT teachers must complete 20 hours of CPD annually. NeuroKind modules meet these requirements by delivering evidence-informed learning that improves inclusive and trauma-informed teaching. Each module addresses standards 1.5, 4.1, 6.2, and 7.4 and can be logged toward the 100-hour, 5-year CPD requirement. Certificates can be retained and submitted during audits or renewal.
Tasmania (TRB TAS – Teachers Registration Board of Tasmania)
While CPD in Tasmania is not audited annually, TRB TAS recommends 20 hours of high-quality, standards-aligned learning each year. NeuroKind modules meet this recommendation through focus areas including differentiation (1.5), inclusion (1.6), identity-affirming environments (4.1), and engagement with professional communities (7.4). Teachers can log modules as part of their CPD record for 5-year renewal.
Each offering aligns with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, includes clearly defined learning outcomes, and equips educators with practical tools that support inclusive, trauma-informed, and student-centred learning environments.
